Bob Schultz

Robert (Bob) D. Schultz, co-founder of The CauseWay Agency, has over two decades of non-profit marketing communications and Public Service Advertising (PSA) expertise and experience working with leading non-profits and government agencies. Bob is the former Senior Vice President of The Advertising Council, where he supervised the entire PSA portfolio of over 35 campaigns, and later pioneered the Council’s Media Outreach and Development Department.

Among his achievements at the Ad Council was helping to launch the first-ever nationwide Recycling Awareness campaign and AIDS Prevention campaign.

Bob began his career in consumer packaged goods marketing, working on Vicks NyQuil® at Richardson-Vicks, healthcare division of Procter & Gamble. He then moved to advertising agencies where he managed such diverse accounts as BMW Automotive (cars and motorcycles) and Bolla Wines.

During his career, Bob has worked closely with some of the nation’s leading non-profit organizations (from American Red Cross to United Way), and most of the federal agencies, including DOD, DOT, EPA, HHS, and HUD.

At CauseWay, Bob spends most of his time on client campaign management, including efforts for Jeffrey Modell Foundation, National Crime Prevention Council (home of McGruff the Crime Dog), National Fair Housing Alliance, EPA, HUD and U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. He is a frequent lecturer/presenter on “Advertising for the Social Good” and social marketing, and has traveled to such far reaching places as Thailand and the Middle East to discuss these topics.
